Marshawn Lynch may not be the only player with ties to the Seattle Seahawks that the Oakland Raiders are interested in bringing on board this offseason.
Should the Seahawks decide to trade Richard Sherman in the days leading up to the NFL Draft, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com speculates the Raiders would be a potential landing spot for the All-Pro cornerback. Raiders defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. was a linebackers coach with Seattle from 2010-2014, so there’s a connection.
While it was initially believed that the Seahawks decided to shop Sherman around, one report says the 29-year-old told the team he wants to be traded. However, Sherman doesn’t want to go just anywhere. He only wants to be dealt if he can play for a contending team, and the Raiders would seemingly fit that description after they reached the postseason last year.
Unless the Seahawks come down on their asking price, Sherman still seems unlikely to be moved.
