Ravens and Panthers stop play to watch Michael Phleps win gold (Video)
When Michael Phelps won Olympic gold medal No. 22, there was no shortage of eyes on the race. In Baltimore, the competition received special attention during a preseason NFL game.
Phelps, who was born and raised in Baltimore, swam in the 200m individual medley final on Thursday. The race was taking place in Brazil at the same time as the preseason game between the Ravens and Panthers. The Ravens announced the day before they would air the event on the video boards at M&T Bank Stadium. When they did, members of both teams stopped on the field to watch.
