Report: Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins ‘refuse’ to speak to each other
Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins are not going to be spending any time together watching film in the coming days, at least according to one report.
Citing sources within the Washington Redskins organization, Jason Cole of Bleacher Report revealed Monday that Griffin and Cousins do not speak to one another and refuse to even be in the same room together.
“Simply put, they don’t talk,” Cole said. “They don’t speak to each other. They don’t communicate. They can’t even be in the same room together at this point because of the tension that exists between the two sides.”
Cole claims the issue is a “continuation of a pattern” for Griffin in which he does not get along with teammates or coaches. The Redskins apparently see that as a major reason why RG3 is incapable of leading a team.
“Part of a quarterback’s job is to keep a team together, even if that quarterback is a backup,” Cole added. “He’s got to be able to get along with the rest of the organization.”
We have heard plenty of reports about RG3 not getting along with his offensive linemen and having a poor relationship with head coach Jay Gruden, but this is the first time an issue with a specific teammate has been mentioned.
Griffin appeared to address Cole’s report on Twitter:
When the hate don't work they start telling lies…
I guess celebrating that your team won with your teammates is isolating yourself #HTTR

It’s amazing that the Redskins have kept RG3 on their roster this long. Gruden has named Cousins the starting quarterback for the 2015 season, and he now has Griffin doing ridiculous things during practice. The two sides should have parted ways a long time ago.
