Russell Wilson injured his left knee during Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers, but it sounds like he avoided any type of significant damage.
After the game, a report indicated that Wilson is already expecting to play in Week 4 against the New York Jets. While his MRI was scheduled for Monday, a tweet Wilson sent after midnight on Sunday made it seem like he received good news from doctors.

Our guess is that means Wilson’s knee injury is minor, which is good news considering how nasty it looked. You can see a video of the play here.
Wilson was already playing through a high ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 1, which is why the Seattle Seahawks chose to pull him from Sunday’s game with a comfortable lead. It’s probably safe to assume Wilson will be at less than 100 percent next weekend, but he has never missed a game in his career. Count on him suiting up.
