After a strong game a week ago against the Washington Redskins, where he completed 15 of 23 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions, Josh McCown didn’t have the same level of success during Sunday’s 21-13 loss by the Buccaneers to the Bears. McCown threw one interception in the first quarter and another in the third. He also lost a fumble.
In six games, McCown has seven touchdowns, but also eight interceptions.
With Josh McCown struggling this season, there are apparently more than a few people around the Tampa area who would like to see him return to Chicago, where he played for the Bears in 2011 and 2013. The photo from Monday’s Tampa Bay Times is a clear signal patience with the veteran quarterback is running out.
McCown now has a 1-5 record as the Bucs starting quarterback. It may not be long before we see Mike Glennon back under center for the Bucs.
