Tom Brady shows appreciation for Patriots fans asking him not to leave

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is inching closer and closer to becoming a free agent for the first time in his career, but the quarterback took some time on Tuesday to show fans in New England that he still appreciates them.

Several fans brought signs to the Patriots’ game against the Tennessee Titans a few weeks ago that said things like “Don’t leave, Tom” on them, and Brady encountered a similar message written in the snow at a park in New England. He shared a photo of the display on Instagram and captioned it “Love you All.”

Brady has consistently called Patriots fans the best in football throughout his nearly two decades as the team’s starting quarterback. If he ends up leaving New England, it won’t be due to a lack of support from those outside the organization.

That said, there are questions about whether or not Bill Belichick and the Patriots are willing to make the type of commitment to a 43-year-old quarterback that Brady is seeking. Brady also sparked some rumors about him potentially heading to another AFC team with a public appearance he made over the weekend, and speculation continues to grow that he could leave New England.

In all likelihood, Brady wants a better supporting cast around him in 2020 more than he wants top dollar. He has more money than he knows what to do with at this point, and his top priority almost certainly remains adding to his massive pile of hardware.
