Twitter reacts to Hue Jackson being fired by Browns
The Cleveland Browns lost yet another game under Hue Jackson on Sunday, and that was apparently one loss too many for the team’s ownership group.
According to numerous reports, the Browns have fired Jackson. He finishes with a record of 3-36-1 with the team. Despite Cleveland showing signs of improvement this season, some of Jackson’s recent comments indicated that things are as bad as ever and the coaching staff is not seeing eye-to-eye. The initial thought was that offensive coordinator Todd Haley may be on the hot seat, but Jackson ended up being the first to go.
As of early this morning, the #Browns could have gone one of two ways: Make a change at OC or make a change at head coach. Owner Jimmy Haslam sounded like he wanted to keep Hue Jackson. GM John Dorsey wanted to move on. In the end, they moved on from Hue Jackson.

Of course, many feel Jackson’s ousting came too late. Coincidentally, he was fired just one day after Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue also lost his job. Twitter had a variety of takes on Jackson finally getting the axe:
Memo to the next Browns coach: Turn your location off the day after the Steelers game if you lose. https://t.co/9b3g3JiwQK

I think it's safe to say Hue Jackson is the worst NFL head coach in decades, if not ever.

Hue Jackson was 3-36-1.
So, um, he kind of deserved to fired.

Regressing enough to get Hue Jackson fired makes Baker Mayfield the greatest Browns QB in modern history.

Browns general manager John Dorsey believes Baker Mayfield is the quarterback who can lead the Browns back to the playoffs. The franchise obviously did not feel the same way about Jackson.
