Go to London, Watch Some NHL

File this close to the NFL heading to London section. Only difference, at least they play hockey in Europe — just not London. Right, because if your sport is struggling in your country, why not go to another country and see if it catches on, right? For those of you dying to get your hockey fix in England…

The NHL will bring bring Canada’s game — albeit with a pair of California teams — to England in September to kick off the league’s regular season schedule.

The Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings will become the first teams in league history to play regular season games in Europe when they play Sept. 29 and 30 at London’s 02 Arena. The weekend games are scheduled for 12 p.m. EDT.

Honest to goodness, the NHL is actual useful because every month or so it seems as if they have these dumbass schemes that are so easy to pick on. Much like their planned expansion to Vegas, this is another brilliant idea. Right, because I can’t think of anything I’d rather do while in London or Las Vegas than watch NHL games. Now that’s the ticket.
