The Vegas Golden Knights are playing their first ever home game on Tuesday, and it is expected to be an emotional evening less than two weeks after the deadliest mass shooting in United States history took place a mile up the road. Among the many ways the team will honor the victims is by ditching advertisements along the boards for a night.
Rather than using the boards for advertising space in their first game at T-Mobile Arena, the Knights will have messages like “#VegasStrong” displayed.
There won't be any advertisements on the boards tonight. Instead, our boards will reflect who we are. #VegasStrong pic.twitter.com/29pL7wmMwJ

That’s a touching gesture from the team, and there will likely be many more. We already saw one NFL team pay tribute to the Vegas shooting victims in a unique way, but the tragedy hit even closer to home for the Golden Knights. Tuesday’s game is sure to be littered with a wide range of emotions.
