Who can really fault Kobe here? The guy was just focused on playing some good defense and stopping the player who got the ball. I guess he was too focused and forgot about the guy inbounding the ball. Chauncey Billups made a play just before halftime that showed his strong court sense and intuition. In all fairness, this is a move many savvy players have made in the past. I think this really was a nice kick in the ass for the Nuggets, giving them the confidence to feel that they were back in the game. Think about it — it was just like Game 1 only reversed where one team was killing the other but went into halftime with only a one-point lead and wound up losing. Same exact story both games. The team that gets the last laugh remains to be seen. But what we do know is that the Nuggets are very for real and that comparing this year’s team to any of their past teams doesn’t do them justice; this team actually plays some defense. I’ve been saying it all along — going seven games and struggling in the playoffs doesn’t matter so long as the Lakers wind up reaching the finals in the end. I just know that we’re in for two excellent series here in the Conference Finals. Oh yeah, and is anyone else tired of all the analysts who are just now realizing that Carmelo Anthony is good? Maybe if they didn’t have their heads stuck so far up Kobe, LeBron, and Wade’s asses they would realize that Melo’s been scoring over 20 a game every year he’s been in the league which is six seasons now. The only difference is he actually realized this year that defense is important and he decided to start playing it.
