Packers Fans Forced Chargers to go With Silent Snap Count … in San Diego

During an interview on the radio with Darren Smith last week, Aaron Rodgers raved about how dedicated Packers fans are and how well they travel to road games. The Packers star quarterback said he was expecting a good crowd for the team’s game in San Diego Sunday. I’ll bet he never thought they could get so loud that they would turn it into a road environment for the Chargers.

Watching San Diego’s last drive against the Packers, you could hear how loud the crowd was getting as they cheered the Packers. Green Bay fans were so noisy they even forced the Chargers to go to a silent snap count.

“The crowd was incredible,” Rodgers said. “When we ran on the field the first time, the crowd was going crazy. When you’re on the road, you’re up by seven and it’s late in the game, and they have to go on a silent count, that’s pretty impressive. So I have to give a lot of credit to our fans. They travel well, and that says a lot about the kind of fans we have.”

Tight end Jermichael Finley was equally impressed.

“Today did feel like a home game,” Finley said. “The Pack Nation showed their support here in [California]. It was crazy. It was just Lambeau in the West.”

San Diego fans are rarely confused for being hardcore, but they should be ashamed. They should never allow that to happen at a home game. Then again, if they were so dedicated, they wouldn’t be in danger of losing their team.
