Humberto Quintero won’t let anything get in his way of making a throw. Not even a person.
Quintero, a former major league catcher currently playing for the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A), nailed opposing catcher Luke Maile in the gut with a throw attempt during the third inning of Friday’s game.

Maybe it was just Quintero’s way of telling his fellow catcher to get out of the way when someone is stealing.
The stolen base actually counted and no interference was called, but Maile eventually grounded out to end the inning.
Hey, I can’t really complain about that funny scene; I was always taught that if a batter gets in the way of your throw attempt to get runner, you nail him in the coconut and receive a call for batter’s interference.
