Maybe winning That Way is not high on Giles’ agenda. I know if I went to a team who now attempts to buy its championships that it wouldn’t feel like much of an accomplishment.

Maybe he’s like the rest of us Californians and realizes that Boston and the Red Sox are a bunch of douche bags and he’d rather lose in San Diego than win in Boston. If the Angels had claimed him (not that they would), he likely would have taken the deal.

But I can’t fault him for not wanting to deal with the douche bags.

I guess when Brian Giles comes to the plate we can all look at him in a new light and wonder how hard he is trying or how much he cares. Oh well.
