Ron Harper says 72-win Bulls team would sweep Warriors

With the Warriors getting off to a perfect 10-0 start, and in such dominating fashion, it’s not surprising there’s talk of if they can challenge the record of 72 wins set by 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls.

Players are managed differently in today’s game, with some coaches opting sit players for one game of a back-to-back set. For teams like the Warriors, where the postseason is a formality (barring a rash of injuries), periodic rest days are often given towards the end of the season to help ensure players are fresh for the playoffs. With some of those reasons in mind, regular season victories are sometimes sacrificed for the overall bigger picture.

There’s little doubt the Warriors are talented enough to at a minimum challenge the 72-win mark if they really wanted to. Whether they would beat the Bulls in a hypothetical series is something one member of the championship-winning team isn’t trying to hear.

Ron Harper was a member of that Chicago team and thinks they would run right through the current Warriors.

@Howsito @DJ_ILLusive45 @LetsGoWarriors @SteinmetzNBA records are made to be broke but we would've sweep that team for sure!!!!

Part of what makes sports great is it so often lends itself to debates. For basketball, it can be individual matchups like “Who would win a game of one-on-one: LeBron James or Michael Jordan?” (and we already know MJ’s answer to that). In this case, it’s pitting teams from different eras against one another in a fictitious series. We certainly know where Ron Harper stands on this one.
