It will be nice for Nascar to have some competition in the racing world. Problem is when the top open wheel guys like Hornish jump over to Nascar — that doesn’t help the cause. The merger was a good step, and finally having Danica win didn’t hurt either. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

I just wanna comment on how great the past few months have been for open wheel racing. With Indy and Champ Car coming back together, and Rahal winning the previous weekend, and now Danica winning at Motegi… it’s an exciting time for the Indy Series. Everything just sort of seemed to work out perfectly as far as timing with the Indy 500 just around the corner. I just hope Indy incorporates some of the good stuff from Champ into the series… such as Push 2 Pass.
