Jim McElwain has reportedly reached a deal to become the next head football coach at Florida, and his former players are not happy with the way he left.
Shortly after reports began surfacing that McElwain was leaving Colorado State for Gainesville, several Rams players took to Twitter to rip McElwain for leaving to take another job without telling his team first.
So our coach couldn't tell us he was leaving. We have to find out through ESPN and the news. #DoWhatsRight huh?

Some of the players have already deleted their tweets.
The whole “we had to find out on Twitter” thing has become a common narrative at both the professional and collegiate levels over the past few years. While we get why players feel disrespected, you also have to understand how quickly information spreads in the year 2014.
Like others before him, McElwain was likely involved in some sensitive negotiations with his new and former employers. Sometimes you just can’t risk telling the people that deserve to know before it becomes official.
