Scissors found on field during Virginia Tech game (Video)

We knew you could find all sorts of things when combing an athletic field — old cell phone, french horn … Andre Dawson — but a pair of scissors? What?

That’s what Virginia Tech wide receiver Dyrell Roberts spotted on the field during the Hokies game against North Carolina on Saturday.

How the scissors got there is anyone’s best guess. It probably came from the grounds crew preparing the field for the game and nobody noticed it until Roberts. Or maybe it came from a UNC defender who was planning on shanking one of the Hokies.

And doesn’t Roberts know that you’re supposed to hand scissors to someone with the sharp edge in?
