Wendall Williams reportedly runs 4.19 40 at combine
Wendall Williams is a name you’re going to be hearing a lot about. That’s because the track star reportedly set an NFL Combine record by running a 4.19 40-yard dash at a regional combine Saturday.

Williams also reportedly posted a 45-inch vertical jump.
Williams played at University of the Cumberlands, an NAIA school in Kentucky. He was the NAIA long jump champion and finished fourth nationally in the 100 and 200 meter events at the NAIA national championships. He ran a 10.36 100-meter sprint, putting to rest any doubts about whether his speed is legitimate.
Williams was also honored as an All-American in football. He was Cumberlands’ leading receiving with 15 catches for 457 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns on seven attempts. He also scored four special teams touchdowns — three on kicks and one on a punt.
Here is a video highlight of Williams returning a kick:
The Syracuse New Times has a great feature on Williams, who once dropped out of college and was driving a truck before going to a JC and transferring to Cumberlands.
