Mark Recchi Gets Stanley Cup Tattoo
Count Mark Recchi as the latest athlete to get a post-championship celebratory tattoo. The 43-year-old winger retired after the Bruins won the Cup this season and decided to get his first tattoo. As you can see in the image above, the tattoo commemorates the three championships Recchi won during his 22-year playing career.
In a video posted by our friends at Puck Daddy, Recchi says he has plans for more tattoos. He says he wants to get his children’s initials inked on his body in addition to commemorating the championships he won as a youth player.
For a player as well respected as Recchi, the scary thought is that he now belongs in the same category as Dominique Jones and Sam Shields who also got tattoos to commemorate their championships. See pictures of their tattoos here and here.
