In case there were any doubts about whether or not Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson were dating, this picture should confirm all reports.

The Little Great One shared the above photo on her Twitter and Instagram accounts Thursday evening with the caption, “Heading to dinner for my mamas bday.”

Gretzky has been in Hawaii with Johnson all week as he played in (and won) the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, and is now competing in the Sony Open. She followed him as he played his rounds during the day, and the two spent time together at night.

Now he’s already meeting the parents? It must be serious.

Nice pull, DJ.

Paulina Gretzky and golfer Dustin Johnson may be dating.

Golf Digest’s Alex Myers reported on Tuesday that Gretzky followed Johnson around Kapalua’s Plantation Course in Maui where he was playing in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Myers says the two have been seen together all week in Kapalua, including being out at night together.

Golf reporter Stephanie Wei first mentioned Johnson’s relationship with Paulina over Twitter on Jan. 1, saying, “DJ has really hot new gf named Paulina.”

The gossip report probably comes as a shock for most people, but it really shouldn’t.

Johnson was dating female golfer Natalie Gulbis two years ago. He had a bit of an incident because it was reported that he was dating Gulbis before officially breaking up with his previous girlfriend, Amanda Caulder.

Gretzky was seen getting cozy with LA Kings center Jarret Stoll over the summer. Whatever they had together (if they were together) didn’t last very long. Stoll has been dating FOX TV host/reporter Erin Andrews for the past few months.

Matt Cain warmed up for his perfect game on Wednesday night against the Astros in an unconventional way: by hitting a golf ball into McCovey Cove.

PGA Tour golfer Dustin Johnson was visiting AT&T Park ahead of the U.S. Open at The Olympic Club in San Francisco and hit some balls into McCovey Cove before taking in the game. He also threw out the ceremonial first pitch, though he didn’t pull it off as well as Rory McIlroy.

In addition to Johnson smacking some balls into the water, a few Giants players took swings including Clay Hensley, Aubrey Huff, and former player J.T. Snow. They were looking for more volunteers and Cain stepped forward for a swing. Cain blasted one out of the park and into the water.

“I knew he was a good golfer,” Johnson said about Cain. “(Giants GM Brian Sabean) didn’t want him (to hit). He said he was going inside.”

Johnson also gave himself some credit for Cain’s perfect game:

If you thought this Masters was going to be the time Dustin Johnson won his first major, think again. Johnson withdrew from the tournament on Tuesday after aggravating his back lifting a jet ski last week, his agent said.

Johnson’s back has been hurt since January, but he played through some minor pain the following six weeks. He’s been going through therapy and taking anti-inflammatory medicine, but the “tweaked back” was bad enough to keep him out of the tournament.

Johnson has finished eighth-or-better in three of the majors, but he’s had the least amount of success at the Masters, where his best finish was 30th. The worst part about his injury and late withdrawal is that the Masters doesn’t have an alternate list, so nobody could take his place.

Because The Open Championship took place in the middle of the night/morning on United States time, those of us who work normal hours and have standard sleep schedules have already missed a lot of the first-round magic.  Highlighting the special moments a lot of us could not witness was some guy who likes to ground his club making a spectacular shot on hole 16.  Check out the Dustin Johnson hole-in-one video:

Call this the Dustin Johnson/Natalie Gulbis update part three. Last weekend Gulbis was following Johnson around for the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua and according to Golf.com, confirmed she and Dustin were dating. Here was the exact excerpt from the story: “Following Johnson’s 73, Gulbis confirmed they were dating but said with a laugh, ‘I’ll let Dustin handle our PR.’ Reached Saturday evening, he declined comment.”

In our story, we noted how Johnson pulled out of this week’s Sony Open to handle some things at home. The New York Post later said he was going home to settle matters with Amanda Caulder, his college girlfriend. We wondered if Gulbis’ announcement had killed Dustin’s game, and it appeared as if that was the case.

Well Johnson is tired of people talking about his business publicly, and he addressed the media to set things straight.

Earlier this week we passed along the news of golf’s new super couple, Dustin Johnson and Natalie Gulbis, getting together. Gulbis was spotted following Johnson during his third round on Saturday and confirmed the two were dating. Gulbis deferred to Johnson for further public comments, but he declined to talk. Now we know why.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Johnson still had yet to tie up a loose end with his current girlfriend Amanda Caulder when the news of the Gulbis relationship leaked. Gulp. What’s worse is that apparently Caulder’s relationship with Johnson began in the same fashion — he was still involved with a previous girl at the time supposedly — so this seems like Karma.

The info explains two things: one, why Johnson was so quiet about his relationship with Gulbis. Two, why he pulled out of this week’s Sony Open to take care of some stuff at home. It all makes sense now. This guy just needs to be more forthcoming. Good thing he’s stupid long, if you know what I mean.
