It’s always cool to see a young player’s dream come true, and that’s what happened to shortstop Mauricio Dubon on Tuesday.
As a 15-year-old, Dubon told his host parents he was going to play someday at what was then known as AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. The name of the stadium has changed to Oracle Park, but otherwise, Dubon’s dream was set to come true when he was called up by the Giants on Tuesday.

Dubon hit .302 with 20 home runs at Triple-A this season. He was acquired by the Giants in a trade deadline deal with Milwaukee. He may not have even meant that he’d play for the Giants one day, but that deal ensured that not only would he play at Oracle Park, but he’d be able to call it home.
