Jameson Taillon says Pirates are ‘fired up’ for the season
MLB is set to impose a 60-game regular season this year, and the Pittsburgh Pirates are fired up about getting back to baseball.
Jameson Taillon, who is the union player rep for the Pirates, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette how happy the players are about the season.
Jameson Taillon: "Our guys will be really fired up to get back together and to get back to doing what we love. It’s time for us to get back on the field and to get back to representing Pittsburgh. We’re committed to returning to play in this new environment and excited to do so.”

For fans who have been craving baseball, this is great to hear. It also confirms what Trevor Bauer said — that many players want to play.
The union needs to agree to report by July 1 and to health and safety protocols in order for the season to take place. Given how sour negotiations between both sides have been, seeing the players report for the season still isn’t a slam dunk.
