Marlins-Braves clear benches after Jose Fernandez nearly beaned
Benches cleared during the seventh inning of the Marlins-Braves game on Wednesday night after reliever Jose Ramirez threw a pitch at Jose Fernandez’s head.
Though benches cleared and Ramirez was ejected for the pitch, nothing too big happened:

As is usually the case, there was a lot leading up to the bean ball.
Atlanta starter Julio Teheran threw a curveball in the fifth that nearly hit Fernandez. In the top of the sixth inning, Teheran hit Martin Prado with a pitch. Fernandez responded by hitting Braves OF Nick Markakis with a pitch in the sixth. Then in the 7th, Atlanta buzzed the tower on Fernandez, leading to Perez’s ejection.
