Nationals have reportedly inquired about Chris Sale
The Washington Nationals are aiming high in their efforts to balance out their righty-heavy starting rotation.
According to a report by Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports on Monday, the Nationals are among the latest teams to inquire about Chicago White Sox ace lefty Chris Sale.

Sale, the 27-year-old All-Star, went 17-10 with a 3.34 ERA and 233 strikeouts for the White Sox in 2016. He attracted a fair amount of interest last trade deadline but has maintained that he would like to stay in Chicago.
While Sale’s relationship with the club got truly bizarre at certain points last season, he’s a top-tier starter signed to an incredibly friendly contract through 2019, so his asking price certainly won’t be cheap for any potential suitors.
