Not many people can make Shohei Ohtani look normal-sized, but Cameron Brink managed to do just that this week.

The Los Angeles Sparks rookie star Brink was in attendance Monday at Dodger Stadium for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Brink threw out the first pitch along with her Sparks teammate Rickea Jackson.

Brink also linked up with Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani for a picture. The two are already well-acquainted as fellow New Balance athletes who have appeared in some marketing campaigns together.

Brink and Ohtani looked just about the same height in that shot. Indeed, that is because both are officially listed at 6-foot-4.

Ohtani is obviously already very well-established, but Brink is on the rise herself as well. After a decorated four-year career at Stanford (including three All-American selections and an NCAA title in 2021), Brink has seen her profile grow further in recent weeks after going No. 2 overall to the storied Sparks in this year’s WNBA Draft.

Usually, Ohtani has a tendency to make his fellow sports stars look very small. But he met his match height-wise this week in the form of Brink.
