You know that saying that players appear to be in midseason form early in the year? Yeah, well in this case, Prince Fielder still appears to be in spring training form.
Fielder, who is surprisingly nimble for a player his size, totally flubbed a pop fly in foul territory during Wednesday’s Rangers-A’s game. Fielder misjudged the ball and ranged too far to his glove side, leading him to have to turn around and dive for the ball on the other side. He ended up doing a pathetic belly flop:
The only justice would come if the Rangers came out and gave Fielder the chalk outline treatment before Thursday’s game.
