Rockies’ David Dahl carted off after suffering right leg injury on catch
Colorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl was carted off the field after making a sliding catch during Friday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants.
New Giants acquisition Scooter Gennett was batting in the top of the sixth inning and hit a ball to center off Peter Lambert. Dahl overran the ball to his left and had to suddenly slide back to his right to make the catch. He injured his right leg in the process.

Dahl had to be carted off the field. Raimel Tapia moved to center and Ian Desmond went to left field after Dahl got hurt.
Dahl, 25, was in the middle of another strong offensive season for the Rockies. He was batting .302 with an .879 OPS and had made his first All-Star team, though he has had his struggles on defense.
