Shohei Ohtani wants to compete in Home Run Derby
This year’s Home Run Derby at the MLB All-Star Game could have some star power if the league plays things right.
Shohei Ohtani indicated on Sunday night that he would like to participate in the Home Run Derby next month, according to OC Register Angels reporter Jeff Fletcher.
In other other other news, Shohei Ohtani said he would like to compete in the HR Derby but he hasn’t been invited. And if that happens, then he and the #Angels would discuss it.

Ohtani says he has not been invited by the league to participate yet, which is something they need to remedy.
Few players match the international draw of Ohtani, and there’s no doubt that with his 31 home runs in 144 games, he has the power to put together a strong showing.
Vlad Guerrero Jr. has already said he will participate in it, while a National League star has also hinted he will be involved. Adding Ohtani to the mix would really spice things up.
