Twitter reacts to Luis Severino’s brutal playoff start for Yankees
Luis Severino had about as bad of a night on Tuesday as one could have possibly imagined.
The New York Yankees ace was knocked out of the AL wild-card playoff game by the Minnesota Twins after getting just one out in the first inning. He gave up four hits — including two homers — and a walk, and left down 3-0.
Considering how well Severino pitched in the regular season — he went 14-6 with a 2.98 ERA — Tuesday’s nightmarish outing came as a surprise.
As you could imagine, Twitter had some fun with Severino’s struggles. Here’s a look at the reaction:

Surely better days are ahead for the 23-year-old. On the bright side, at least his offense backed him up in the bottom half with three runs to erase the deficit and give the Yankees a blank slate.
