Vladimir Guerrero shared a moving post on Twitter Wednesday about his son’s impending MLB debut.

Word emerged earlier in the day that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would be getting the call up by the Toronto Blue Jays for Friday. In response to the news, the elder Guerrero shared a tweet that included a photo of when his son was a little boy.

My son! The country that saw you as a child will now see you turn into a big one.

Working hard everything can be done. I’m proud of you!

Love you! pic.twitter.com/WJyLBVKWoR

Vlad made his MLB debut in 1996 with the Montreal Expos. Now, the year after he was voted into the Hall of Fame, his 20-year-old son will make his MLB debut in 2019 for the Toronto Blue Jays. It will be an awesome moment for the family.

Vlad Jr really should have been called up by Toronto last year, but they were trying to hold his rights for an extra year and delayed the process. The only question is which one will end up with the better career, because we have a feeling Vlad Jr. is headed for Cooperstown as well.
