With some measure of the uncertainty principle clouding the back end of their rotation, the Chicago White Sox are searching far and wide for answers.
According to a report by Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun on Sunday, the White Sox have signed former Orioles righthander Miguel Gonzalez to a minor league deal.

Gonzalez, 31, went 9-12 with a 4.91 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 26 starts for Baltimore in 2015. He was released by the team late last month after a weak showing in spring training.
A low-strikeout pitcher that struggles to keep batters off the basepaths and is prone to the home run ball, Gonzalez isn’t exactly the most inspiring rotation option on the planet. But as an innings-eater with a decent enough repertoire of pitches, there’s still room for Gonzalez as a potential No. 5 starter.
The White Sox’s holy trinity atop their rotation of Chris Sale, Jose Quintana, and the hard-throwing youngster Carlos Rodon is largely set as they move into Opening Day 2016. Though with the ghosts of Mat Latos and John Danks bringing up the rear, Gonzalez could receive the call-up before we know it.
