Report: Yankees likely to move Aroldis Chapman, Carlos Beltran barring win streak
The New York Yankees appear to be moving closer to a decision on whether they should buy or sell at the deadline.
According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Yankees will trade free agents-to-be such as closer Aroldis Chapman and outfielder Carlos Beltran if they cannot turn things around before the August 1st trade deadline.
Just reported on @FS1: #Yankees will trade potential FAs Chapman, Beltran if things don't turn. Drawing interest in multiple SPs. Link soon.

The Yankees as sellers changes the entire market. Beltran and Chapman would be highly sought after, and they’ll get hits on their starting pitching, too. Ivan Nova is a pending free agent, while Nate Eovaldi has already drawn some interest. It’s unclear whether the Yankees would move some of their long-term investments – Andrew Miller’s name has come up frequently – but they’d definitely get a lot in return if they did.
This represents some movement on the Yankee decision after what was recently reported. They still have time to turn it around, but it sounds like the team is prepared to blow it up.
