Caitlin Clark receives notable snub in All-WNBA voting
Caitlin Clark was named first-team All-WNBA on Wednesday as the league announced the final vote tallies for the honor. However, some were once again scratching their head over another potential snub.
Clark received 52 out of a possible 67 first-team votes, with 14 people voting her second-team All-WNBA. That meant one voter left Clark off their ballot entirely in a rather confusing omission.
Many did not see it as coincidence that Clark was also denied unanimous Rookie of the Year honors by one vote as well.

That's one truly bitter hater with a vote! pic.twitter.com/1lynVnGyYx

We got to do something about this WNBA voting committee/panel. Caitlin Clark should have been unanimous. You can't make a case against that. Not w/ all the records she broke as a rookie. You just can't. 14 people are goofy.
Alyssa 39 votes & Sabrina only 15? How? In what planet pic.twitter.com/6NMX8OWsDG

Clark started all 40 regular season games for the Indiana Fever and averaged 19.2 points per game to go with a league-best 8.4 assists per game and 122 three-pointers. Statistically, she had a fairly overwhelming case for All-WNBA honors, but it certainly looks like one anonymous voter keeps registering some form of protest.
The WNBA does not make awards balloting public, though some would like to see that change. Unless the voter in question decides to reveal themselves, the person who omitted her — and whether it is the same voter in both instances — will remain a mystery.
