Carmelo Anthony’s stint with Rockets is over
Carmelo Anthony’s brief stint with the Houston Rockets is over.
Anthony will no longer play for the team, even though he will remain on the team’s roster for the time being, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
For now, Anthony will remain on the Rockets roster, but will not rejoin the team, sources said. Anthony’s wisest course of action could be exercising patience and allowing changes in league rosters – through trades, injuries, team needs — to create more playing options for him. https://t.co/L5aC5Ueah0

Anthony was signed by the Rockets over the offseason in somewhat of a hyped move. However, his defense remained terrible, and his offense was not consistently good enough to make up for it. The backbreaker was a 1-for-11 shooting performance in a loss against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Melo never rejoined the team after that as the two sides worked on an agreement to part ways.
Houston has won two out of three since Anthony stopped playing for the team and is now 6-7 on the season.
