Danny Granger Hosting Dinner for Pacers Workers Affected by Lockout

While the NBA players were locked out by the owners, Pacers top scorer Danny Granger tweeted his plans to treat team employees to a dinner. Granger called it a little NBA lockout gift, and he said it was the least he could do. Well Granger is sticking to his word, and he and the team will host a dinner on Sunday evening for part-time employees who did not get paid during the lockout. The dinner will include games, raffle prizes, and special guests.

“I wanted to do something for these unsung workers and for the sacrifices they were making with lost income. Now, it’s the best of everything, the team stepped in to help, we’re playing, they are back making this the best place to come to in the NBA, and we can get together for some food and fun.”

It’s an awesome gesture by Granger and it’s cool that he’s sticking to his word. You may say that at $12 million per season he can afford to do it, but how many other players would think of something like this, and execute it?
