Draymond Green rips ‘coward’ reporter for calling Warriors cocky

A Utah Jazz reporter felt that the Golden State Warriors failed to win with class Monday night, and he shared some unflattering stories about it after the game.

Draymond Green was not happy.

Ben Dowsett, who covers the Jazz for a few different sites, said some Warriors players were dismissive when asked about Utah giving them a close game. Dowsett claimed there were a lot of “shrugs and chuckles” from Golden State players when asked about the fight the Jazz showed in their 106-103 loss.

Can I be honest about something? I expected just a little more respect thrown the Jazz's way from GSW's locker room than what actually came.

— Ben Dowsett (@Ben_Dowsett) December 1, 2015

Example: Draymond and Steph next to a TV showing Root Sports, with a tweet up about how the Jazz are playing "like champions", or close.

— Ben Dowsett (@Ben_Dowsett) December 1, 2015

Obv. a fan tweet, clearly. But both started laughing at it like it was the funniest thing they'd every seen. Dray yells "F**k that!"

— Ben Dowsett (@Ben_Dowsett) December 1, 2015

Both downplayed questions on Utah, and Steph straight up laughed at Utah's switch on his big 3 at the end. I just didn't expect that.

— Ben Dowsett (@Ben_Dowsett) December 1, 2015

Dowsett later admitted that he misheard Curry’s quote and that Stephen wasn’t laughing at the Jazz, but he stood by the overall point. On Tuesday morning, Green unloaded on the reporter.

Yo @ben_dowsett why you lying bruh? Trying to make your name bigger off lying? Want more importance? Report something worthwhile & true!

— Draymond Green (@Money23Green) December 1, 2015

You mad corny dude and media privileges should be revoked coward @ben_dowsett

— Draymond Green (@Money23Green) December 1, 2015

But there you go… I just helped get you some attention @ben_dowsett

The Warriors are 19-0 and appear poised to set the record for the most wins by an NBA team in a single season. They’re also the defending champs, and we know how Curry feels about this year’s team vs. last year’s. Confidence is one of the many reasons the Warriors are dominating the NBA. Don’t expect them to change.
