The Golden State Warriors no longer have the appeal they held the past five years because of injuries and more.
Kevin Durant left for the Nets; Andre Iguodala was traded; and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are both injured. That has left the Warriors with a weakened roster and one of the worst records in the league.
Despite their poor season, the Warriors were still featured in the NBA’s showcase of games on Christmas Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. That led Washington Wizards guard Isaiah Thomas to joke that the game deserved to be aired on NBATV rather than nationally-televised on ABC.

NBATV has a much smaller national reach compared to ABC. That’s also where the least popular games during the playoffs get aired.
It’s hard to argue with Thomas, though the Warriors did a nice job of putting forth a good effort by beating Houston 116-104. Thomas sure has not been shy about sharing his opinion lately.
