Jimmy Butler throws shade at ex-Timberwolves teammates

Jimmy Butler threw some shade at his former Minnesota Timberwolves teammates following his first win since joining the Philadelphia 76ers.

Butler scored a team-high 28 points on 12/15 shooting in Philly’s 113-107 win over Utah on Friday night. After the game, he was interviewed by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Serena Winters and asked what’s made him so comfortable with his new teammates. The answer he gave seemed like indirect shot at his ex-teammates.

Home debut ends with a win, how's it feel?

“Everybody wants to win. And when somebody messes up, you talk to them, they don’t take it personal, and they do their job,” Butler said. “I think everybody’s such a good basketball player and we all want to do right, that sometimes we mess up.”

Butler is only in his second game with Philly since being traded there from Minnesota. He was unhappy with the Timberwolves and wanted out. One of his complaints was that some of Minnesota’s players couldn’t handle his style of constructive criticism. When he says his Sixers teammates don’t take the criticism personally, it seems he is pointing out how what they’re doing better than his old teammates.
