JJ Redick couldn’t stand the NBA HORSE competition
The NBA tried to give desperate sports fans some entertainment in the form of a televised HORSE competition, but it appears to be going down horribly.
The first round of the competition aired on ESPN Sunday night, and got very bad reviews. The harshest criticism came from New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick, who deemed the competition unwatchable after just five minutes.
H-O-R-S-E could not be worse. I gave it 5 min. Hard pass.

Fans were immediately put off by the low quality of the video and the shaky handheld camerawork. That, combined with the fact that the competition just didn’t make for exciting television, led to a lot of critical feedback.
The recent NBA 2K tournament seems to have gone down better, in part because some people actually learned something from it. The HORSE tournament, on the other hand, just doesn’t seem to be hitting the mark.
