Kevin Durant and Chris Paul exchanged some trash talk during Sunday’s Clippers-Thunder game, and one line from KD was definitely high quality.
The Thunder got out to a big enough lead where Durant checked out of the game late in the third quarter and took off the entire fourth quarter. At one point CP3 made a jumper and apparently talked some trash to Durant, who was hanging out on the OKC bench.
Durant could be seen saying to Paul, “You’re down 20 now, homie,” in response.
In other words, you have no room to talk.
Paul had 18 points and 13 assists in 36 minutes during his team’s loss, while Durant put up 29 points in his three quarters of work. Yeah, when you’re down by 20, you have no reason to talk. But we’ve seen plenty of other guys celebrate when their team was down by even more.
