After going out and signing Seth Curry this offseason, the Dallas Mavericks are continuing their trend of bringing aboard less famous younger brothers.
On Monday, the Mavericks signed Jaleel Cousins, the brother of Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, per Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

The younger Cousins, 22, is also a 6-foot-11 center and averaged 5.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in two seasons in college at the University of South Florida. He went undrafted in 2016 and found himself in the news earlier this year for less than favorable reasons.
Nevertheless, Dallas could use an extra big man with only Dwight Powell, Salah Mejri, and AJ Hammons backing up Dirk Nowitzki and Andrew Bogut, so perhaps Jaleel will have a shot at cracking the final regular season roster.
