Tony Romo on the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night will be quite the spectacle, and Mike Malone is going into it with a good sense of humor.
Speaking with the media before the game, Malone, who will be coaching the opposing Denver Nuggets when Romo suits up as a “Maverick for a day,” made a funny reference to another recently retired signal caller, ex-Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, per Nick Kosmider of the Denver Post.
Malone on Romo: I tried to get Peyton on the plane yesterday. It didn't work out."

With both the Nuggets and Mavs already eliminated from playoff contention, Malone can afford to keep a light-hearted mood for Tuesday’s game. That said, Malone is probably glad he’s going up against a former Dallas Cowboys QB instead one from the Minnesota Vikings or the Baltimore Ravens.
