Did Patrick Beverley plant fake reporter at Magic press conference?
Philadelphia 76ers guard Patrick Beverley is being accused of staging a question at a recent Orlando Magic press conference.
The Sixers beat the Magic last Friday in a 124-109 affair at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla. Moments after the final buzzer sounded, Beverley posted a rather disrespectful message directed at the Magic on X.
“Belt 2 A– Tour. Thanks Orlando way to show up,” said Beverley (profanity edited by LBS).

A reporter later asked Magic big man Wendell Carter Jr. about Beverley’s social media post during the center’s postgame press conference. The Sixers guard has since used the footage of Carter, who reacted negatively towards Beverley, on a recent episode of his Pat Bev Podcast.

Magic radio host Brandon Kravitz on Thursday reposted the exchange and wrote hat he “strongly believes” that the reporter was planted by Beverley.
I recognize every voice that asks questions in Magic post game pressers. I strongly believe this was a Pat Bev plant. https://t.co/qnjlEnRFkG

Independent Magic reporter Dilan Bosch later corroborated Kravitz’s theory. Bosch claimed that the reporter was a “plant for sure” and was allegedly seen walking back to the Sixers’ team bus with Beverley after the press conference.
Then pat Bev walks out the locker room. He was wearing black boots, orange and black jeans. He walks up to the “reporter” guy who was with two girls and tells him “you got it?” The “reporter” says “yeah”, then signals him to follow him to the team bus and they leave.

Beverley tallied 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists across 28 minutes in the win against the Magic.
