Stephen Curry twisted his ankle during game one of Golden State’s series against Houston, and it sounds as though there is some concern for him going forward.
Curry rolled his right ankle during the first half of the Warriors’ victory, and he headed to the locker room several times to get it retaped. He played just 20 minutes, virtually all of them in the first half. He was cleared to return, but he didn’t play after the 8:31 mark of the third quarter. According to coach Steve Kerr, that wasn’t just because the game was a blowout.

On Stephen Curry's tweaked ankle, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said: "We are not going to let him play if there is any risk of making it worse"

It sounds more precautionary than anything else, but given the circumstances, it’s still a bit of a worry for Golden State. They may be the heavy favorite for the NBA Title, but they probably need Curry healthy if they want to get past an inevitable confrontation with the San Antonio Spurs.
Adding to the concern is the fact that Curry’s right ankle is the same one that is surgically repaired and caused him so many problems earlier in his career. Despite no Curry, the Rockets outscored Golden State in the second half by just one point, and the Warriors can likely survive without him for a game or two. Anything more serious than that – and any absence longer than that – would likely cause them problems, particularly as they venture deeper into the playoffs.
