It is no secret that Stephen Curry has been playing through pain during the NBA playoffs. What we may not have known is just how much pain he’s been dealing with.
According to Mark Heisler of the Los Angeles Daily News, Curry’s MRI showed problems with his knees as well as both shoulders. That is in addition to the ankle problem he dealt with earlier in the playoffs. Some of these issues may even require surgery during the offseason.
There have been fairly consistent reports that Curry is playing pretty hindered right now, and Curry has readily admitted that his knee isn’t in great shape. Golden State has tried to downplay the impact of the injuries, but Curry’s uncharacteristically inconsistent performances demonstrate the issues. He’s clearly hurting pretty good.
