Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is likely to get booed when he plays in front of the Boston Celtics fans at TD Garden on Friday night for the first time since he spurned them in free agency over the summer, and Dubs head coach Steve Kerr is hoping he does quite frankly.
Speaking with reporters ahead of the matchup, Kerr dropped a great line when asked about the reception Durant might receive from the Boston faithful, per Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News.
Steve Kerr asked about expected reaction in Boston to KD tonight: "Maybe they'll shower him with boos and motivate him. That'd be great."

Good one, coach.
Though Kerr has been hesitant to embrace the villain label for Durant and the Warriors in the past, if they can use it to fuel their fire, why not?
The scary part is that Durant is averaging 27.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game through the first 11 contests of the season, nine of which the Warriors have won. Now just imagine what he’ll be putting up once he’s finally motivated.
