The Detroit Pistons will fend off all of the vultures circling their team for the time being.

Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports Thursday that the struggling Pistons do not have any immediate plans to trade away veteran forward Bojan Bogdanovic. The Pistons hope that Bogdanovic, who is now healthy after missing most of the season to this point with a calf injury, will be able to help them win some games.

Detroit is beyond in the sewer right now, sitting at 2-19 with 18 consecutive losses (yes, really). At 34 years old meanwhile, Bogdanovic, a high-scoring starter who has put up 22 points in each of his first two games back, would be more valuable for the Pistons as trade bait rather than as a continued part of their rebuild.

The trade deadline is not for another two months, so perhaps the Pistons will still considering dangling Bogdanovic, who is on a partially-guaranteed contract for next year, to some contender out there. Parting with Bogdanovic might also help Detroit with the conundrum that they have right now over a particular young player.
