Twitter reacts to Clippers’ record comeback against Warriors

The LA Clippers made history on Monday night by coming back from down 31 points to beat the Golden State Warriors 135-131 in Game 2 of their first round playoff series, which is the largest comeback ever in NBA playoff history.

The Clippers trailed by 31 in the third quarter and appeared to be out of the game, but they clamped down and continued to play hard. They never gave up, kept chipping away at the lead, and by late in the fourth quarter, they had turned things into a one-possession game. They finally took the lead on a Landry Shamet 3-pointer, which came after Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams refused to quit and kept scoring.

Take a look at the Twitter reactions to the comeback:

To say this is the worst collapse of the Kerr era is understating it.

How do you give up 72 points in 19 minutes??

Clippers just beat the Warriors after being down 31 points

It’s insane for any team to come back from a 31-point deficit. To do it against the Warriors in Oracle in the playoffs is just unfathomable.

The Warriors have now blown a 3-1 Finals lead and a 31-point playoff game lead. They must be allergic to Baskin-Robbins, too. pic.twitter.com/f0NBMRUxVy

There were plenty of 3-1 jokes to go around, but let this be a warning: this game probably caught the Warriors’ attention. Expect them to send a message in Game 3.
