Bill Belichick’s Son Stephen Makes Rutgers Team as Walk-On Long Snapper

Pictured above is Stephen Belichick, the son of his Darth Vader father, Bill Belichick. Aside from his long hair and strikingly dissimilar look from his father, the big surprise here is that Bill actually has a child. Does he strike you as the type of caring and compassionate person who would have ever changed a diaper? Me neither.

Anyway, Stephen is a senior at Rutgers and he decided to try and play football this season after playing for the lacrosse team the last for years. He made the squad as a long snapper and will compete for playing time on special teams. Apparently he’s wanted to play football since entering Rutgers.

“He always wanted to play football,” Schiano said of the younger Belichick. “Truth be told, when he first came he talked to me about trying to play football and we said, ‘Hey, look, you’re here to play lacrosse. Get comfortable there and if it doesn’t work out.'”

“Whether he wins the job or not, I think Stephen has some aspirations with coaching and wants to get re-acclimated with football,” Schiano said. “And it’ll be fun to have him around.”

Those sneaky Belichicks. Always have something in mind! He’ll probably get into coaching at the college level for a few years before he catches on with the Pats. Then dad will probably put him to work taping opposing teams on the sidelines.
