Georgia coach gives update on severity of Jake Fromm’s injury

Georgia football

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm fractured his non-throwing hand in a freak accident Monday, but it doesn’t appear to be serious.

Coach Kirby Smart confirmed reports of a small fracture in Fromm’s left hand, but announced that the quarterback is already throwing again and isn’t expected to miss any workouts.

That’s a relief for Georgia. It’s also a huge relief for Fromm, who is facing competition from highly-rated freshman Justin Fields for the quarterback position this season. It doesn’t sound like this injury may lead to him falling behind.
